Heat Treatment

Heat treatment is a process or the combination of several processes for the treatment of workpieces, which are heated and cooled again in a specific time sequence in order to change material properties in a targeted manner.

TEST SPECTRUM

  • Heat treatment trials combined with material property testing
  • Annealing trials with or without inert gas atmosphere, option for controlled water quenching
  • Customer specific trial heat treatments

APPLICATIONS

  • Achievement of standardised mechanical properties of castings e. g. QT-treatment of steel castings by heat treatment steps of annealing-quenching-ageing annealing (tempering)
