Heat Treatment

Heat treatment is a process or the combination of several processes for the treatment of workpieces, which are heated and cooled again in a specific time sequence in order to change material properties in a targeted manner.

TEST SPECTRUM

  • Heat treatment trials combined with material property testing
  • Annealing trials with or without inert gas atmosphere, option for controlled water quenching
  • Customer specific trial heat treatments

APPLICATIONS

  • Achievement of standardised mechanical properties of castings e. g. QT-treatment of steel castings by heat treatment steps of annealing-quenching-ageing annealing (tempering)

EQUIPMENT
  • Bogie hearth furnace up to 1280°C, chamber size 800 x 800 x 1600 mm
  • Protective gas chamber furnace up to 1300°C, chamber size 350 x 250 x 500 mm
  • Forced convection chamber furnace up to 850°C, chamber size 750 x 750 x 900 mm
  • Forced convection chamber furnace up to 650°C, chamber size 640 x 660 x 900 mm
