Melting and Heat Treatment

Generally, heat treatment describes processes to alter the physical, and sometimes chemical, properties of a material. Heat treatment involves the use of heating to alloy and property specific temperatures and holding times.

  • Heat treatment trials combined with material property testing
  • Annealing trials with or without inert gas atmosphere, option for controlled water quenching
  • Customer specific trial heat treatments

Achievement of standardized mechanical properties of castings e. g. QT treatment of steel castings by heat treatment process steps solution annealing, quenching and tempering
