Numerical Simulation

Numerical simulation of fluid flow and solidification is best practice in modern foundries. The ÖGI has established itself as a centre of excellence for such technologies and offers simulation services not only to foundries but also to construction engineers and R&D departments. The knowledge of accurate thermophysical parameters required for the involved materials is paramount for a successful simulation. A specialty of the ÖGI is to measure these data in the physics laboratory and to incorporate it in simulations.
