Mission Statement
The Austrian Foundry Research Institute is a non-university, non-profit research institute of the Austrian
foundry industry.
Its legal entity is the “Verein für praktische Gießereiforschung“ whose activities are governed by its statutes.
The main function of the ÖGI is to be of best possible use to its members as well as the Austrian and
European industry.
The daily activity of the ÖGI is determined by legal principles as well as fairness in dealing with clients,
suppliers and staff.
- The ÖGI is a modern research and development institute whose services are in the field of foundry technology, from the raw material to the finished component and its application. Our quality of R & D, adherence to delivery dates and flexibility determine our dealing with clients.
- The non-profit status of the institute is documented by joint research projects on topics of general interest, by technology transfer to the industry, especially to SME, and the organisation of seminars and conferences as well as publications on a regular basis.
- The ÖGI is a member of the Austrian Cooperative Research (ACR), the governing body of cooperative research institutes in Austria, and accepts its mission statement.
- Regular training of our staff as well as strategic national and international cooperations ensure a high standard of knowledge, which forms the basis of our operations.
- Cooperative leadership and command structure encourage the motivation and responsibility of our staff.
- Public research funds and project-related funds are used as efficient as possible according to the appropriate guidelines in order to benefit the Austrian and European industry.
